Projects

Here's just a small sample of the projects and partners we’ve worked with over the past 30+ years.

Banff National Park, Alberta

For more than 10 years Grumpy’s has been providing quality expertise and guidance, along with hardy and site specific plant material for a wide range of projects within the Banff National Park. Familiar with the local plant species and ecology, the Grumpy’s team ethically and sustainably collected local plant material. The native seed was then processed and propagated at our facility near Beaver Mines, Alberta. These materials were used for rebuilding, reclaiming, and restoring vital wildlife habitat post construction.

Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta

Over the years the Grumpy’s team has worked on several projects in Waterton. Some experience includes native grass, shrub, and forb harvest, as well as providing quality plant material for landscaping in the local campgrounds and at the Waterton Visitor’s Centre. We also provided consultation and materials for large site reclamation following the Kenow Wildfire in 2017.

Alberta Parks, Alberta

With several Alberta Parks right in our own backyard, Grumpy’s has provided plant material for a wide range of projects including streambank and lakeshore restoration utilizing specialized species following flooding, as well as campground expansion and improvement.
